Green Policy:
The Chembarathi Wayanad is a nature resort. While we strive to provide a luxurious experience for our guests, we request your cooperation in maintaining eco-friendly and sensitive initiatives.
The simple guidelines below have been designed to ensure a sustainable experience for all of us:
- Please inform yourself about Wayanad, its complex ecosystem of coffee and spice plantations, the steep terrain, the unique and rich biodiversity, and the land's rich culture and customs. Seek the facts most relevant to the season of your visit.
- Please think before you discard plastic bottles, candy wrappers, and cigarette butts. Please dispose everything in their designated bins.
- Please help us segregate all waste for ease of recycling and composting. Ask us to dispose anything you wouldn't want to, and we will do our best to minimize its negative impacts.
- Please support our initiatives to conserve precious resources - every watt of power and every liter of water saved contributes to the Sustainable Good Life.
- Please respect the power of nature and the complex ecology of the terrain, particularly while hiking and trekking.
- Please do not remove the reusable flip-flops placed in all cottages, which are only for in-house use. If guests wish to take a pair home, they are available for purchase.
- Please cause no damage to the property, cottage, or any of the belongings of the property. In case of any damages, the cost of replacement or repair will be charged to the guest.
- Please remember that the woods and plantations are the rightful home to all animals, birds, reptiles, insects, and plants in there. As guests staying in their home, we must be kind and courteous to them.
- Please enjoy the power of silence as you trek through the region and seek permission before taking pictures of the native residents.
